I've used these boards for many many years. The only changes I made was to switch to the Snapper releases to hold Fireline. I really like the versatility they offer. You can run them both on the same side when you want to contour troll and keep your boat out in deeper water so you don't run over the fish you're targeting. These boards work just as well for any lure I pull behind them as do the OffShores or the Church boards. You just have to get used to them and how they run, like any other brand name. As was mentioned in another posting, I think OffShore does a better job of marketing their boards. Church and Wille just don't seem to spend as much time or money in the endorsement area and therefore OffShore has a lot more Pro's pushing their boards. All of these boards will work for you. Don't be afraid to buy the Wille's just because a majority of the people frequenting this site use something else. Use the existing releases that come with the boards until they get worn and when they need replacing, buy the upgraded clips from either OffShore or the Church Tackle Roach Clips. I bought my Wille boards much cheaper than either of the others were selling for. $25.00 for the pair. Don't know what they sell for now but it's probably still cheaper.
I have both Willie and Off-Shore, and at times perfer the Willie board over the Off-Shore. I agree to the other post on changing to the Clip type line holders. I don't think you'll go wrong.
