I need a little help with mounting bracket options for a Pinpoint. I've seen some posts on this subject in the past but since I didn't have the motor I didn't fully understand the discussions.

I'm mounting a 3700 on a Lund 1900. I would like a nonmechanized bracket that allows full retraction of the motor into the boat and also allows for simple removal of the motor.

I saw some posts that mention the AIO bracket but don't understand how it works or the pros/cons that were being discussed. Any information would be appreciated.

I know several guys who are using Gator mounts from motoguide. This eliminates having to use the extention mount on the Pinpoint bracket. The shafts are the same diameter. Look for Pinpoint to sell the gator mount with the system in the future since they are now the same company.
Good luck, Murph!

Thanks Murph. I will talk to Pinpoint and see what king of information they can provide on the Gator mount.

Murph has a good point--anything you can do to eliminate that extender bracket, do it! For one, it's heavy. Two, if using the AIO bracket you can only retract the motor about 5" (or remove it). Three, it adds another half inch to the height your motor sits above the water.

The AIO is a good mount, but I'm not completely satisfied with how it works with the extender bracket.

I recently had a Power Gator Mount installed on my 60 inch Pin Point. So far it works great, i have an extention bracket for sale.

I have that bracket on my boat. It's works excellent. I can take a digital picture for anyone who would like to see it.

Sure--email it to me and I'll stick it with the AIO pics I put on the Web. Email is Dennis@Climbing-Guides.com, then I'll stick it on www.climbing-guides.com/aio

Are you saying the manual gator vs power gator mount is the way to go? Either gator eliminates the need for an extension bracket?

I will see the motor and boat for the first time today so maybe I will have a better understanding of what you are talking about. Where did you get your gators? Thanks.
