on a GPS unit, could someone explain to me what the positon error measurement is and how it is derived at
I mean does a higher number mean it corrected better or does a lower number mean that unit is more accurate or what?

Rebs, the position error is telling you how accurate your GPS is at that particular time.It is determined by how many satellites you have locked on to and the signal strength of those satellites.
