If mounting two transducers only 1 foot apart on the back of a boat should they be of different frequencies, or different watts of power or doesn't it matter? Just trying to avoid problems with one scrambling the other. THANKS!!!

Yes, if that close they should be difference frq.

Yes they will need to be of different freqeuencies. Probably at least 40 Khz of separation. This probably means two different brands of sonar as many manuf keep the same frequencies (if not the same exact transducer model) between models of sounders.

Yep, you need at least 40kHz of seperation between the two. There is not a power issue involved.
