Please pardon my ignorance, but I have tried to post a respose to the prior thread but was unable to see it come up. It shows 10 responces but I can only see 5? So I thought I'd post the question here for feedback from the gentlemen who responded. I'm trolling from a 1900 Gary Roach w/100 hp merc to give you a feel of the speeds I'm working with. I use a 6 1/2' med. heavy baitcaster with a Shimmano Calcutta reel w/10# trilene. I've used these 2 different ways. Using a Quick Change slider prior to the swivel and using a dropper line from a 3 way swivel. Am I in the ballpark guys? What # Fireline?
Thanks
Tom

Since switching over to the dedicated server you are far from being alone. This is happening to a lot of us. Go to the top left corner of the "General Discussion" front window page and you'll see an "Expand Threads" button. Push it and you will see the responses.

Tom, I do this with both a 1890 tiller and a steering wheel boat , both 90 HP. I use 2 ounce for most all depths as shallow as 3 ft believe it or not on Kansas water. Use 2 trolling bags to take total control of the boat in any direction wind, slows the boat and makes a 4 whl drive machine out of it. I find that with a line counter setup if your line out is double your depth you should have a perfect 45 degree light contact with the bottom. If things look like I am exceeding the 45 angl I simply reel up and drop back down until the spool hesitates and engage again. Like any other method you cant catch fish that aint there but nothing beats a bouncer for locating W's.
