I feel somewhat cheated after watching the Wings-Avalanche game tonight. I expected a much closer played game and found it to be anti-climactic. I'm very pleased with the result but thought this was going to be the game to build lasting memorys from. After Roy got pulled, it was like it didn't even matter any more. We all knew the game was out of reach for Colorado. Just as Kevin did last week, I would like to congratulate the Avs for their sportsmanship and Professionalism in the 3rd period when they had to know they had No chance of making a run at the Wings. This game could have gotten ugly but they did not allow it to go that way. Congratulations on a fine Season and we'll see ya next year,,,,, Hopefully in the Western Conference Finals again, where both teams belonged.

This is what we saw tonight.

I agree, I was looking foreward to a real nail biter but after the first period it was obvious Colorado wasn't on their game, I wasn't all Roys fault no defense or offense, Bummer I won't be able to see games 1 and 2 of the finals since i'll be in the UP with no tv and so so radio reception.

A vacation in God's country seems like an even trade to me. I'm a displaced UP'er and wish I could be back in my Home town many times every year. There's great Fishing and Hunting and I hope you can find a clear station to listen in for the games. It can't be won with only 2 games anyway so you'll be back for the clincher's,,,,, No matter who's clinching. GO WINGS!!!!!!

The game was kind of anti-climactic from a viewers perspective, but from the perspective of what kind of effort it took for detroit to come out and play so hard right away, and for colorado to play as professionally as they did in the face of getting their butts whupped, it was a pretty special game. Oh, that and my wings royally whupped their biggest nemesis.. ;)

Hats off to the avs and wings for a heck of a series, I really enjoyed watching it.

Where ya from up there Supertroller? We have a place between Newberry and Paradise on Pike Lake just a couple miles from the mouth of the Two hearted River, I get up there at least twice a year, long drive but well worth it.

I'm originally from Kingsford. It's right on the Wisconsin border where the U.P. makes the big turn to go West. Fished the Menominee River as a kid a caught my first Walleye there. Loved fishing for them ever since. I get up there at least 4 times a year for Hunting/ Fishing and visiting friends and relatives. They ask me all the time, "when you moving back?" If I could make a decent living and not have my wife divorce me, I'd be back next week. She's a troll who has lived under the Mackinac bridge all her life and refuses to go with me if I head that far North. So for family peace, one of us stays happy.
