I have seen several guys ask about changing their username. Is there an easy way to do this or do you need to just re-register and let the oldone die?

There is no easy way for you to do this if you don't want to lose your post count etc.... You have to email Scott Golden and ask him to do it for you. He's the only one with access to that part of the admin.
