Has anyone had any experience with the new Zercom LPG2000 sonar? It's said to produce paper graph like quality in a liquid crystal display. I love my old Mach 1 paper graph but it's expensive to run . . . noisy too.

They show awesome detail and look just like the simulator including great fish arches. The only downside is that they tend to lose the digital depth readout at speeds over 25 mph, but still show the bottom. My Lowrance x-55 never gets turned on any more.

They are the most phenomenal sonar I have ever used. Very user friendly and show more than anything else out there. I can't say enough about them.. They do loose bottom at high speeds, but I am sure that will be remedied in the near future.

Keep the line tight,

Purchased one 4/14/00. Haven't got it to work right yet. Zercom replaced the unit and I still am having problems. It reads the bottom well but I have never seen a fish arch. I've moved the transducer and changed the angle but still no fish arches. They sent me another transducer but the screen remains the same.Their technical support has been excellent but I'm having no luck getting a fish arch. Fished Sat. and caught 25 walleye on Pymatuming. Yet never had a fish arch on the screen. I hope technical support comes up with the answer. I like the bottom reading but can't understand what is happening with the lack of fish arches. Surely the unit can't be that sensitive.

I had one at trolling speeds they are a great graph the detail is great. But like everyone else mine would lose bottom at anything over 25 mph. I know 3 other guys that have the graph on 3 different boats all have the same problem. I moved my transducer all over my transom and used the super user mode to fine tune it, best I ever got was intermittant bottom readings at about 40 mph. Then 2 days before a tourney I was fishing it quite working all together. Had my dealer check it out I had power all the way to the back of the unit so it was broken inside the unit itself. Sent it back today and purchased a Pinpoint 7520 hope this one works. If you only want the graph for slow speed reading of the bottom it's tough to beat the Zercom (fantastic detail and marks fish great in under 10 ft of water) but it won't give you a reading at over 25 to 30 mph.

Have had mine since Feb 12, love this unit, my flatbottom boat only does 27 mph only lose bottom on rough water, has worked great since day 1 even in 35 degree temps, water was 33 degrees. Have graphed walleye on the bottom in 30 ft+ and crappie only 4ft below the boat.

I've had mine out several times and like many others have had problems with readings at speeds over 25 mph. Incredible detail and ease of use make this a great unit!
