OK,..because I fish two or three times a year (only times I can get out for now) "Some" of my family has labled me as a fisherman,...true or not I was given by them, a wristwatch (Casio) that has a fishing cycle graph on it,..it looks to me based on the moon cycles and time of day thing....my question is: do many here subscribe to solar/lunar tables? I remember seeing them on certain calandars as a kid and thinking they worked but I also think that maybe I didn't fish on the "poor" days and was aggressive at it during the "excellent" days.
BTW,...I think this watch DOES work on predicting how crazy the kids behave if nothing else!

I believe in solunar tables for fishing...not for many of the mythical reasons but for the scientific reasons. Fish are able to sense many different things than we can because they rely on their environment in different ways than we do. Though it may be much more subtle that they react to these changes than night and day to us but still, I beleive it affects their feeding cycles or at minimum is related to their feeding cycles.

Chris, I definitely believe in the moon phases. I have had the Casio watch for a number of years now, from the first generation "fish-en-time" to the newest Forester with a light. I have found them to be surprisingly accurate at predicting the bite. While I go out as often as I can, if I only have a little time, I try to schedule it for the fishing peaks. Just set your latitude, longitude, and deviation from GMT and you're all set. I have found that I seem to catch fewer but larger fish during the new moon phase and more, but smaller fish during the new moon phase. Good luck and enjoy the new toy.

Where does one find one of these watches? Is there a model number?
Thanks
