Help with dipsy

if i turn the weight indicator to the left say on the number 2 setting,when looking off the back of my boat which way is the dipsy gonna be to my left or to my right ??thanks

A Dipsey is designed to track to the side as if you
were standing facing your bow.Therefore if you set it
to run to the left it would go to your port side.A
little trick I learned when I first started using Dipsey
is to hold it by the release and the side that tips up is
the way it will go.I hope this will help.
