Just a note to let everyone know that the kids workshop will be on Thursday, June 15th at the Escanaba High School Commons from 5pm-7pm.
It is free and there will be several MWC fishermen there to teach the kids about bait, knot tying, casting, fish filleting, jig tying and more!
There will be stations set up and the kids will move from station to station. I will also have little bags with goodies for the kids.
I would like to thank Sonja and Mary from the Big Stone Lake Chamber of Commerce for all their help at the last workshop. We had 100 kids show up, in addition to the parents. Also thanks to Dean Novak, Pete Huibregtse, Tracy Chappell, Jim Bonjour, Eric Olson, Tim Minnema and Colin Crawford for spending a short day on the water to come in and help out at Ortonville. Along with Pure Fishing, Normark, Lindy Little Joe and Bayshore Resort and Tackle in Gladstone, Michigan for their donations to the kids.
