Does anyone know if you can splice this cable and still have an operable signal sent to the unit? I cut mine today. (darn autopilot) If you can splice how do you do it? Oh, this is the transducer to a Lowrance X-65. Thanks in advance.

I believe you'll need to get a new transducer/cable assembly. Someone will correct me if I'm wrong! Good luck<;{{{{{<<( Mr.Pike

I fixed mine with a splice I bought at Radio Shack, seems to work fine. No problems.
Good Luck,

Hey Tim,
In a pinch, the cable can be spliced. However, you must be careful not to remove too much of the cable or it may throw off the locator. You may also see more noise or clutter on the screen.
Your best bet is still to pick up another transducer and put it on.
Good luck.......R
ps, Let me guess, the switch in the pedal stuck, right?

Yup, this is the second new transducer I will have purchased since I bought the boat 3 years ago.

Yup, this will be the 2nd transducer I have purchsed since I bought the unit 3 years ago.
I did the same thing last year up at Lac Suel. I spliced mine. I have an old Z-9000 Eagle. I just made sure the wires were well insulated away from each other. It has worked fine. Make sure you put some kind of water proof sealant over the outside of splice. Good Luck!
