Recently purchased a 2009 Ranger 619. When covering the boat are you supposed to use a seat in the bow area to keep the front of the cover from sagging? Is there a specific peice from ranger that I need to get? I have the low profile bubbles so the cover sags bad if nothing is up in the bow.
Thanks in advance!

I use a cardboard rod tube that I cut to stop the sagging, i put it over a seat pedestal with no seat on it. HRG is using PVC I believe, both work great and you will see a MPG improvement.

They will make them however the customer or dealer wants. Sound like yours is designed to have the seat in or the boat was origionally built with a walk through windshield. The covers are tailored for each boat depending on options and requests.

If there is extra felt padding in that area then, yes, it's made to have a seat (in the full "down" position) in that spot.
My '07 619 with a full windshield is designed as such.

Contact Ranger with the boat serial number and they can pull up the build sheet and tell you how the customer requested the cover.
Sometimes if there is a bump seat they put that up front, sometimes a regular seat or sometimes no seat at all.
Like TJEli said, each cover is customized for each boat order depending on how the customer requested it.

I see there is a felt pad in that area so I am assuming a seat should go there. The boat was ordered with the low profile bubbles.

I have a similar setup with a 620 and no full windshield. Mine is designed to have the folding seat installed in the bow to support the cover and tighten it up. You may want to try that before fabricating some other prop-up device because your cover will likely wear badly from the inside out propping it up with something else.

I called Ranger today. They said to use the floding chair or a propole. Either one would work.
Thanks again....:)
