Does anyone know of a ski pole/towbar you can place in a regular seat base where you can remove when needed or any other product that fits this bill?
I'd rather not use the harness system off the back of the transom.

My 96 Astro 20 FSX came with a ski pole that mounts on the rear deck in the seat pedestal hole. I'm sure I've seen these in a number of dealer's suppliers cataloges from after market companies. Sorry I can't name a brand but I think you should find something at your local dealer.

Is it for a taper-lock seat base? I'd like to do the same with my Lund Tyee, using the seat base that's on the transom step on the centerline.

The base of mine is the 3/4 inch pin type with threads on the last inch or so. I'm not sure of the total length of the pin portion but I think about 5 to 7 inches. I'll see if I can figure out the company name who makes it.

LAST EDITED ON Jun-09-00 AT 04:23PM (CST)[p]I just had a look at the BPS site and found 1 very similar to mine its called "Swivl-EzeŽ Ski Tow Bar". You should be able to do a search on the BPS site and have a look.
I'm not sure the taper-lock system would handle a ski bar. I had the taper-lock ones in my previous boat (Lund) and I don't know if they would take the side pulling stress without pulling out.
