Fella's, I used to use a product called "protect" (I think) but I can't seem to find a phone number or web site for them anywhere. Anyone heard of this product and have a contact for them? What's the best thing you've found to get your boat really clean after a few months of build up? Looking for a good wax to use as well. Thanks guys.

I really like a product called Safe Acid Replacement from Kem Tech Industries in WI. I fish on Devils Lake, ND which leaves some nasty tough water lines on my black boat. I had used acid hull cleaner before and turned one of my overflows white. This stuff is safe and easy to use. If the buildup is extremely bad I might have to run over it twice but once is usually enough. I spray the boat real quick and then apply it with a window squegee. Let set a few minutes and spray it off. It does a great job and a bottle lasts me for 4 or 5 cleanings of my 2025 Pro V for an $8 bottle.

L&L PRODUCTS, INC. has developed a line of marine and vehicle maintenance products that are reasonably priced and simple to use:
RESTORE-BOAT POLISH- A light spray every time or every other time your boat leaves the water and the water spots disappear like magic. Works well on your car, truck, trailer and tires also. Towel down to a beautiful, protective shine that resists dust and fingerprints. Won't yellow and there is never a build-up. Best of all, you will never have to wax again!
WONDERFOAM- Lightly spray on hard water deposits (lower units on motors, etc.), wait 10 seconds, and rinse off. Deposits wipe off with no effort! Follow with a protective coat of RESTORE-BOAT POLISH. Keeps your motor looking new! Also removes hard water deposits and soap scum buildup from glass, tile, chrome, painted metals and stainless steel. And see what it does for your shower or tub!
If you are interested in more of there products or prices let me know, will get somemore info right out to you. This Wonderfoam works just like it says for the build-up of water spots etc. Skeeter185@chartermi.net

YOU MAY THINK I'M NUTS, BUT LIQUID TIDE ULTRA LAUNDRY DETERGENT WORKS EXTREMELY WELL. IT HAS LANOLIN IN IT AND IT HELPS TO RESTORE THE COLOR IN YOUR BOAT. GEL-GLOSS IS ANOTHER GREAT PRODUCT. CAN BE FOUND IN ANY ACE HARDWARE, HOME DEPOT, ETC. HOPE THIS HELPS.

Have been reading all these posts on what different guys use for cleaning their boats. Granted there is no end to cleaning agents. Everyone believes in different cleaners for different things. And granted I do sell this product mentioned in an above reply but thats beside the point, if I didn't believe in the product I wouldn't be pushing it. I have used other products and home brews myself up until I was introduced to this product by a guy that comes on this site named L. Miller. After using it once I was sold, and became a distributor for the company. I was hooked it works that good. Be using Wonderfoam on the heavy heavy stuff and using Restore on a regular basis you get no more build up and it goes on and comes off SO easy thats what is so nice. Trying is believing!
