Anyone have information on good Walleye guides or outfitters on the Columbia River, Oregon. I would like to plan a trip there from Pennsylvania.

I dont' know the Columbia real well but I figured I'd at least try to point you in the right direction. I believe that Ed Iman guides somewhere down there. You can contact Gordon Steinmetz at bigwallysfishing.com . He's on Banks Lake and should be able to point you in the right direction. I know there are a couple more local guys around here who can probably help you more than I. WAEyes? Dan(Or)?

Jason Schultz of Hells Canyon Sport Fishing 208-750-1100 posts fishing reports on Walleye Central. I have not fished with him but I've heard that he is good. He fishes the Umatilla area I believe. Dick Obrien was recommended to me by a few people for the area around Rufus/Biggs.

What time of year? what kind of fish = trophy or do want to catch a few?

where is the other big question. What part of the columbia?

dan
out in Oregon land where the walleyes grow bigger and nobody fishes for them.

Yes, I have heard good things about Jason Schultz as well and he really posts some monster walleye pics caught by his clients. I believe he only chases the walleyes in late winter, early spring though. If you want to get some big ones in the fall, I would try to sneak on dan(OR)'s boat...I'm sure he won't notice ;)
