I had the pleasure of fishing the RCL this week at Saginaw Bay.
I have fished that body of water for 3 years now myself, But only limited to the inner bay.

I fished the Saturday before the tourney with Pro Scott Hauge. We landed a couple of Real Nice fish and had a good day out on the water.

I Drew Jeff Teage on day one, the weather was a little rough. But Jeff had his program down and we came in with a little over 31 lbs.
What a top notch guy. I was 13th after day one.

Day two put me with Mike Gofron, and again Mike had his program down, we landed 28 lbs. of Fish and I had a great day. I really enjoyed fishing with Mike. That put me at #4 on to day Three.

Day Three I drew Mark Martin and like a machine we got to work and put 36 lbs of meat in the live well. It also was high weight of day three. I was headed to the final day. Wow-Thanks Mark. (yes I do have the back reel switch on. :))

Day four I drew Robert Linkewitz of New Batimore, MI who was fishing just his second RCL tournament as a Pro. The fish gods were not good to us on Saturday. We landed just two.
We had some bites but they didn't stay on. Anyhow, We gave it our all.
For those of you that don't know, this was Roberts second Tourmanent as a Pro. GREAT JOB ROBERT!

Too each of the Pros, While I hope to be back up on stage, THANK YOU for a great week, an education in open water fishing, And a Lifetime of memories to relish.

To the Folks at RCL, thanks gang, what a top notch Organization.

See ya all at Redwing!

Way to go Rod!

Win or lose, Rod's experiences while at two RCL events this year is a key reason to take advatage of the Co-Angler opportunity. Learning fish hunting techniques, boat control, pro's and con's of various boat/motor combo's, watching all the various electronics at work, making some long, exciting, grueling boat rides, and just meeting a bunch of great people in a unique environment is worth the price of admission.

Thanks to ALL the Co-Anglers this year on the RCL road to Red Wing! Your efforts are key to the growth of competitive fishing.
