A lot of you posting here have questions about upgrading your GPS units. We were just notified by Garmin of a program that may interest you.
There are $150 and $200 rebates on select Garmin electronics when you trade-in your old unit. I didn't see info on their Website yet, but I'm sure it's not too far in coming. Dealers may have more information.

Are you talking hand held or the installed type.... Was thinking of getting that new hand held, will wait if they'll give cash for the old one... Keep us posted. Thanks

This promotion applies to the following units:
GPSMAP 2006/2006C/2010/2010C/182/182C/188/188C Sounder/232/238 Sounder.
You can trade-in a 180/185 Sounder, 210/215/220/225/230 or 235 Sounder.
Garmin informs me the info will be up on their site in next week.
Why only the selected older units and why the upgrade? I have a gpsmap 130. Is there an option on this model or did I miss it? I would sure like to be able to be able to upload info instead of using cahrt chips! If anyone is interested I would consider selling it!!!
