I just bought a HDS7 and a HDS5. I like the mount on the 7 better as it is steel and it has the 4 bolt hole pattern in the center. Does any one know if someone makes a better mount for the HDS5 like the HDS7? Thanks

You could get a Ram mount for both units if you would want to be able to swivel them around to whatever angle you wanted to see them. Plus with the Ram mount arms it lifts the unit up higher so it would be easier to see when you are standing up, you could also pull it towards your eye level better when it is at the console.

The mounts for the 5 series could be better. But I used one for a long time with no problems.
Easy enough to make one if you really need metal.
