I hope the guys who were rear-ended this morning on 35 are OK! (35 is a Busy hiway in the Twin Cities, just north of town) Because they were pulling a walleye boat, I hope they read this message.

Anyway, we saw that accident (if you want to call it that) happen. Saw if coming actually. The truck that hit you was a Bernatellos Pizza truck. The medium large freezer truck was tailgating your vehicle so close it was maddening to see. Especially in this mornings traffic and rain. When you guys passed us, (Multi lane divided hi-way) I said "There's going to be an accident! Look out" Not more than a 1/2 mile later "CRASH". We could not stop for fear of being killed. But I wanted to let you know that if you need a witness, shoot me a message. That truck driver was entirely reckless!

I did call the State Troopers office and told them what I saw and my name. Don’t know how all that stuff works however……

Man would I be pissed to have my boat wrecked mid season like this…WOW!

Bad Finger -
I can't say that I disagree with your closing comment.

However, -- the most important thing to know -- was any one hurt.

Material things - wood, metal, and plastic can all be replaced.
A broken body, or lost life is much tougher.

Be thankful for your blessings, and think about the other guy - as you go through your life.

Remember, your actions may save someone else from being hurt or killed.

Take care

Thanks for stepping forward. There are too many times that people need witnesses and can't find them. Good job.

REW,

The crash happened about 5 car lengths ahead of us. We were in the driving lane, the boat/truck and pizza truck were both in the passing lane. Morning rush hour. All lanes full. The traffic slowed quickly and the pizza truck, following too close could not react fast enough and hit the rear of the boat squarely. Hard enough to lift the rear tires of the tow vehicle off the road! Both vehicles maintained steering and pulled over on the center medium. I do not think there were injuries...but don't know for sure. There is no way we could have safely pulled over.

Drive safely this weekend. The fact is people will die between now and monday....don't let it be you. As I'm typing this message I'm now listening to a report of 2 boats coliding on the St Croix River, here in Minnesota. One dead. 5 in the hospital.
