I would like info on what EPA rules for motors is coming in the near future. Like when will they only sell 4 strokes and what if I don't have a 4 stroke will I be stuck?

Im sure if and when it happens there will be a grandfather clause that will let people use whatever they presently have. When the catalytic converter came along, they didnt kick all cars not equipped with one off the street. Silimar logic here.

There have been some lakes in California where all two stroke outboards have been outlawed. There was an article about it in Boating magazine a few months ago. I have a buddy that lives in the Sacramento area and he dumped his two stroke because he couldn't use it anymore. The article in Boating even mentioned putting catalytic converters on I/O boats. Wouldn't that be a trip with all the heat they produce.

Take care and good fishing,
