: Lund Really does listen
I made a phone call to Lund a while back to find out what model year the in-floor rod storage locker was standard on the Pro-v's.
While speaking to that person I asked them why they dont post information on their old models as it can only help in the sale of used Lunds. Also that long gone are the days where server hard drive storage was crazy expensive.
Today I was researching another Lund model and did a search and what did I find:

chainwall 12-21-2011, 07:23 PM PDF documents are the greatest thing since the 4 slice toaster. Your right, these days absolutely no reason to have that stuff available. The nice thing is most stuff in a good pdf doc is searchable content.

I think that you mean - absolutely no reason to NOT to have the stuff available. Of course this is a double negative that means
"That toady - the information should be widely available due to the use of inexpensive server memory space. "
I agree with your thoughts. Great to have the information available.
Happy holidays.

doubleheader 12-22-2011, 06:35 AM Quite a legacy isn't it? I'm sure some folks didn't realize Lund was in the glass business years ago. I really enjoyed going thru the older catalogs, brought back lots of memories.
Tok, maybe you should be in marketing? Maybe you are? Excellent idea and thankfully Lund saw the value in your idea. Now all those questions about older Lunds can be answered
In the same vein, Lund should put on their server, all of the electrical, plumbing and underfloor layouts of their years of boats.
Obviously, they have had drawings made to build the boats. So, it would certainly be nice to be able to access them in an on line format - as the older sales brochures are listed.

Hot Runr Guy 12-22-2011, 07:48 AM I think it will be interesting to see if Ranger, Alumacraft and other manufacturers will follow Lund's lead, and start archiving catalogs and documentation for the products they offer.

I would love to get my hands on a '79 Sundance, how cool was that!
I never knew they did pontoons?
At one point I had every hard copy from 2000 -2007, then thought I would never get rid of my 2000 so stopped grabbing them, now I have the 2000 and a 2011. I only saved the 2000 catalog for the next potential owner of my Mr Pike, it will be nice now to send prospective buyers this link.

Grady White has been doing it for years.
Also, when you buy a used boat (Like I did) you can still register it with them and then they send you a nice monthy owners newletter and other perks just like you bought it new.
I think thats a real nice touch.

Ranger does this as well. You can become a member of the Ranger Owners Group.

Now only if they made the Fisherman 180 in a tiller version,,,,,,,,,,
The GW site is a bit of a tease though, with their "Quote your Grady" that then sends the information to a dealer.

You can always buy the 180 and strip everything out of the boat that you don't need for a tiller. It just takes a hammer and saw and you will be good to go.

T Mac 12-22-2011, 05:34 PM Wow...does the catalog archive bring back a lot of memories!
I used to have them all pretty much memorized.
But... retirement ain't bad, either. LOL
doubleheader 12-23-2011, 06:58 AM The 1969 Fiberglass catalog is a hoot. Woman smoking a butt, woman in a mini wedding dress, behive hairdoos, a few shots look like outakes from a James Bond movie. And of course it featured the famous Tri "V" hull. Oh yeah, they had it going on.
