Anybody have a nifty idea for storing spinner blades (ones not tied on harnesses but for clipping on quick-change clevices)? Typically I use a Plano see-through tray, but the dividers become dislodged and the blades sneak under them, messing up any organization you once had going. What else might work better?

I'm looking for a better way to store crawler Harness's. I'm curently using a snelled hook holder and it don't work.

Stack your blades and use a twist tie to hold them together. Instead of having them get all mixed up you will have several convenient bundles of similar sized/similar colored blades. Works well. They dont get as scratched up either.

You can use saftey pins through the hole in the spinner and orginize by size/color etc. (Saftey pins work good for snaps, swivels, hooks etc, too.) I use a piece of a foam pool noodle for wrapping the spinner snells.

I use the smaller - fixed - compartment plano storage box.
Since the dividers are molded into the box, the blades can't slip under any edges.
I use these same fixed divider plano boxes - in the smaller sizes for other smaller objects - like hooks, clevises, etc.
It works very well, and quick and easy.

I agree with toolman, the pool noodle things or pipe insulation works great for wraping spinner rigs on.

I use the small ziploc bags (about 3" x 3" ) to store my blades. You can sort them by size, color, whatever, and have any number of different bags.
I think the twist tie or pin idea is great, but the reason I prefer baggies is that I only have between 1 and 3 blades of each color, size, style, etc., so on a pin, for example, the one I need/want might be the 9th blade on a pin holding 16, so I would have to take all the ones in front off, then re-thread them - I'm just too lazy. This way, I open my bag of "gold blades", and grab the one I want, and then re-zip.
It works for me, anyway. Good luck.

USE PLASTIC PILL BOTTLES YOUR LOCAL DRUG STORE WILL
SELL THEM FOR TWO BITS ,THEY LINE UP PERFECTLY
IN A PLANO 3700 TRAY THEY ARE ALSO WATERPROOF
KEEP YOUR NET WET!
That is one of the better ideas that I have heard recently.
On the same vein - the translucent 35 mm film cannisters work very well as well. They also fit nicely in the plano boxes.
Take care

Get a box that has the compartments molded permanant. I don't know the # right off but can get it -I think - I have a couple. The # may be on em. They work great for this

Thank you William for asking that Q. I have the same problem and kept forgetting to pose the question here. I like using the clear divider trays and don't really want to switch to something else. That twist tie / safety pin response was exactly what I was looking for. I love this place!
