Personally, I hate to use any mosquito spray in the boat---but have found that a pair of latex gloves won't hurt your feel of the fish bites, and will protect the backs of your hands from the skeets....you casters will even develop a feel for thumbing the spool right through the glove...we wear them for keeping the hands dry in the fall too---but that's for another day...
One more reason to be selective when using mosquito spray in the boat...........it can discolor the vinyl upholstery!!! We did this one night. Even with a lot of scrubbing, we never completely got rid of the tiny marks where the spray landed on the upholstery and sat overnight. Check the label on the can,........and take some precautions to control overspray.

It can also damage the screens of your gps unit, depth finder etc.
