how do you know (generally) when to use worm harness rather then a crankbait, last weekend on eastern lake erie a worm harness was best sat, but crankbait much better next day, it may seem like dumb question, but whatis the deal with worm harnesses, I hate to use them in some ways but what factors make them the bait of choice at times. are there ways of making crankbaits do what the wormharness is offering....

Only the fish know for sure, we can only guess. I think some of it deals with the meat your offering on the harness. Some day's a faster speed on cranks are the ticket, we have to figure out what they want because they ain't gonna tell us.

If you solve this one you could win about 70% of the tourney's in a year, or place very well.
It seems crankbaits work better the harnesses if there is some wind and the walleye are more active but harnesses are better if walleye are less aggressive and this can change during the day so experiment.
