What are some good boxes that hold individual crank baits? My Rapalas and Rouges seem to get tangled up quite often. I have the basic plano clear boxes. I have seen some older shimano boxes that look good.

I have some of the old Shimano boxes with the trays and foam hook slots. Don't think they make them any more. Been using Crank Caddy's. Come in three sizes. Small will hold 42 #4 or #5 shad raps. 28 #7, #9, or deep little rippers go in the med. The large holds 12 big deep taildancers or other longer cranks. The down side is the size of the box that only stores 12 lures. They do keep them tangle free. Can put two in a slot to gain space without to much problem. Clean clear box that is easy to see through and find what your looking for.

I bought a Special Mate a few years ago and really like it. I can't recall where I got it but I know I ordered it on line. Works good, no tangles, easy to see the crankbait, lots of room. Jim

Get a hanging bait box, I made my own......holds probably 100 crankbaits and to many spoons to count.

I use the thin 3701 style box. They are just thick enough for one crank bait per slot. No tangles and they work very well. http://www.planomolding.com/fishing/fishing-products/

I also like the 3701 boxes.I can keep the baits in order,and have a few empties for trips in someone else's boat.Just take what I need.

For the average guy the crank caddy is a perfect solution. The large crank model holds about 12-18 and the medium hold about two dozen.
