hopefully your pain and your families pain will ease with time.

Jim, I am so sorry to hear about your little granddaughter. There is no greater tragedy than the loss of a child. So many dreams and so much life is lost when we lose them. The why is not something that we as mere mortals can never hope to grasp but in my heart I've always believed that God has his own reasons for the things that happen. We just have to have faith. my sympathy goes out to you and your family i had my 2 grandsons over today and they just went home i could not imagine one of them passing on. that has got to be one of the hardest things that you/ve ever been through. remember we/re here for you if you need us

You have my all of my sympathy. No one should have to go through that. I too lost my oldest son in a house fire when he was 2 1/2. He would have been 18 this year, and wish he would have been on many fishing trips with me. But, like him, yours is in a better place with God. I still believe that it isn't right to take them so young. It will take a while, and you will never get over it, but in time it won't hurt as bad. Your family has my families best wishes.

Dear Friend,
I to have experienced the almost unbearable pain that you now feel ,as our dearly loved son went to be with the Lord over six years ago. Please sir I beg of you, don't blame God for taking her but try eventualy to rejoice in the time you had with her.It will seem like an impossible task at first but with this aproach God will help you though it .
With a Hart that still knows that pain.

Jim, as I was never blessed with my own children, I can only imagine the pain you and your family are experiencing. I know your pain and our prayers are with all of your family. We lost our infant son and the hurt never leaves. A great friend of ours gave us a framed poem that's up next to all our family pictures and I believe it's helped us. I read it often...

Why God Takes Children

When God calls little children
to dwell with Him above,
We mortals sometimes question
the wisdom of His love.

For no heartache compares with,
the death of one small child.
Who does so much to make our world,
seem so wonderful and mild.

Perhaps God tires of calling
the aged to His fold.

Sorry to hear about your loss, Mine and my families hearts go out to you. I lost a 6 year old niece two years ago after a 2 1/2 year battle with cancer. Hi Driftr,

As soon as I read your title I got a weird feeling in my stomach. I have lost material things but never want to experience the loss of a child.

As I was typing this my two kids (2 and 3 years) just got up on the counter and threw down a half cup of coffee. Not sure where they are gonna go with this but they each got a hug!
