Any place in the twin cities offer a rod building class where we can build a rod under the "experianced eyes" of someone who has done it???

Thorne Bros in Fridley makes about the nicest custom rods I've ever seen. They have classes with guys that have been building rods forever.

I just built a rod this past weekend. I was going on the eternal search, but found a guy in anoka. He runs it out of his house and has anything you could ever need/want. His name is Gary Wicks, and his phone number is 612-427-0631. He will work around your scheduel (you will probly be the only person there other than him), and all you need to do is show up with an idea of what you want. He has the blanks, eyes, thread, epoxy/glues, cork, pre fabed handles... It was around $100 total for my rod (including instruction fee) Plus he had a box of raps there for 4 bucks a piece,I grabbed 6 or 7 while I was there.
