Just wondering if someone could help me out on choosing some new rods for planer boards. Does anyone have a preference as to manufacturer, length, and action that they like. Cost is a deciding factor also. Thanks for the help.

Cranker, Let us know if your using in-line boards or big planer boards. I'm sure you will get some replys.

For in-line boards I use a 8'6" med. action downrigger rod. BPS had some similar rods on sale for $19.95
For big boards I use 8' light action downrigger rods. They are Eagle Claw SF407.

I use Offshore's in-line planer boards with snap weights when I need them. Mostly running crankbaits off them. Thanks again.
