The consistently best bet for info is Lundeen's at the intersection of Hwy 169 and 27 just north of Onamia on the SW corner of the lake. Good, no crap info and good bait. Well worth the stop.

We have been having a ton of success on the east side (By where you are going to be,) with Thill slip bobbers, and #6 Gamakatzus and leeches. Be sure to have a swivel about 3 feet up the line, and a 1/8 oz. egg sinker between the swivel and the bobber. The 16 foot rocks have been the best for us. Plenty of area right around Agate to work, not to far off shore if you have kids too!
Good luck!
