Hi
Was playing around running my motor on the trailer today. I am new to the boat and motor. The outboard is a 1999 Yamaha 100HP 4 Stroke (F100X). I put the 'ear muff' things around the water intake on the lower unit (LU) and turned on the water. Started the motor and all was well, ... it was 'peeing' as expected out for the top section of the motor housing.
I did notice water shooting out of a little hole on the FRONT side of the motor, just above the lower unit where the seam is to seperate it from the rest of the motor. The hole is about the size of a big flat bladed screwdriver tip, ... it looks like its supposed to be there, ... is it??? Or do I have a lower unit problem? Is water supposed to be coming out of it?
Besides that motor seems to run fine.
Regards
Peter
