DOES ANYONE OUT THERE HAVE ANY GOOD WAY TO STORE SPINNER RIGS WITHOUT THE TANGLED MESS.I JUST HATE TO UNTANGLE A SPINNER WHEN ON THE WATER AND TRYING TO GET A BAIT BACK DOWNTO THE FISH.

As has been posted several times before - a very popular rig for spinner rigs - are sections of foam.
You can buy a "foam" slinky - the foam tubes that kids use in the summer time on the water - from a toy or surplus store for about $2.
These typically come in 3-4 foot lengths, and have about a 2 inch diameter. Cut off as much as needed for storing your spinner rigs, and enjoy.

Take a wrap around the foam, with your line, and trap the line under the 2nd wrap. When you get to the hook, bury the hook in the foam. Easy, quick and cheap.

Take care

REW is right on, those work great, i cut mine into lenghts that either fit into plastic cases or if not storing in cases, easy to handle and be able to wrap easily (about 7 to 8 in works for me). also i put finish nails into the foam and put the loop end of the leader onto the nail, that way when your unwrapping the rig and your down to your last couple wraps there's something (the nail) to keep the rig from coming loose and getting hooked on other wrapped rig's hooks. some guys cut grooves into the foam and wrap them into the grooves.
hope that helps

i have used the foam myself and it works but- i had about eight of them in the boat and even eight of them foam rolls gets to be a pain to store.now i just buy the 2 inch by 3 inch ziplock bags and when i use them i just pull them out just like they come new and when i'm done i just wind around my three fingers and wrap the snelled end around the loop a few times and put them back like they came in the litte plastic bags (little ziplock bags cost about 3.00 for 100 of them)and this i keep in a square spinner bait box that is about 7 inches square.i have near 100 in there and there never tangled. -just my 2cents !

I am using the foam method, but I slip them in a cut to length 11/2" plastic pipe. I also cut a paper clip into three parts and use them to hold the loop ends in place. Seems to work very well. I am useing 1 " pipe covering for the foam. Now if I could get them to catch some fish. lol:)

I use a similar set-up as ebijac. Instead of finish nails I use aluminum trim nails (used for house siding). They don't rust and have a little bigger head so the loop won't slip off. Just bury the hooks, wrap the snell and stick a nail in the loop. Also works for pretied dipsey leads with snap on one end and snap/swivel on the other.

I use 3x3 plastic zip lock bags. Simply wrap the mono of the spinner around your fingers to form a loop about 3 inches in diameter and place into the bag. Been doing this for years with no problem. Get the zip locks from a Texas company.

Try the plastic tube that tennis balls come in to store the foam/leaders.

If you get the 2 inch foam pipe rap, the slit is already in the foam. Plano makes a plastic box # 1503 that holds 4 pieces, 7 inches long, just perfectly. Another great item is the B&B box that holds 4 of the larger foam tubes and also has side storage for bouncers and other harness parts. Really a nice item. Check them out at the products section of this site.
