Hello All
I have an 03 Lund Mr. Pike 16. The front livewell drains strange. It seems as if there is a trap in it or its partially plugged. When you drain it, the water exits normally untill it gets to the bottom and even with the boat out of water on the trailer water still sits at the top of the drain tube inside the livewell. Just wondering if this is normal or if there is something partially plugged in my drain. Anyone else Lund Front livewell do this???The rear livewell drains the tube completely.

I had a 2005 Mr Pike and never had any issues with the front live well draining. Sounds like you may have something stuck.

I'll bet the hose from the livewell to the drain is a little long, and has a loop in it, slightly above the bottom of the livewell. If you blow air thru it, does it go down the rest of the way?
HRG
Take a garden hose and blow water up into the livewell from outside.
While doing that, have someone be in the boat checking out the livewell.
See if anything gets blasted into the livewell.
Then, reverse the process, i.e. use the garden hose to flush water from the livewell out the drain. See if any thing gets blown out on the driveway.
Then, just put a bunch of water in the livewell and see if it drains completely.
If not, I expect, as someone else posted a drain hose that is on the long side.
Can you look from another compartment and check on the status of the drain hose? If so, and if it is the wrong length, can you reach the hose and fittings to make corrections?
If so, the use of a heat gun to heat up the hose makes the hose much easier to work with. i.e. the heat softens and expands the hose so that it is easy to put on and take off of fittings and the heat also makes the hose easier to bend.

Thanks Guys.....I'll investigate....Just wondering if its normal to hold water in the hose.....from the reply's Id say no is the correct answer. Thanks.
Not sure on your 03 Pike - if it were like my 07 Lund - you did remove the plug for the baitwell that is inside your front livewell - right?
The drain plug for my baitwell, is in the livewell. The overflow tube is the other drain option, but will not drain the baitwell completely. Pulling a plug, in the side of the front livewell, drains it all.
