Just wondering if any of you fellas have tried this new jig/lure from Storm. Saw them today and was pretty impressed although durability might be an issue.
Thoughts??

Are these the shad bodies with the jighead built in? If so, DO NOT BUY THEM. They don't swim at all. When you tie them on the line, they sit veritcally, not horizontally, they really screwed up the weight distribution in these.

I think Slipknot is trying to give you a bum steer there, they seem superb baits! I was using the 4" perch ones last week and the fish were queing up for them. 7/8oz and swim like a fishy, works for me!

How were you fishing them? From the look they need to be casted and retrieved just like a lure...some forward motion so they "swim" and that tail gets to thudding.
For vertical jigging I can fully see how they won't work.

Seeing how Storm/Rapala has replaced basically all of their other lures with junk I would tend to agree with you, Slipknot. Then again, I have not yet tried one of those Swimshads. If it's anything like the tstick/ hotandtot replacements I dont want to try it. Have yet (in a year and a half) to catch a fish on the new line of baits.

I have had great success on them - jigging, casting & slip-trolling!

i don,t think slipknot would ever give anybody a bum steer, i read to many of his posts and answers to others questions to think that.

I'm sorry, I thought your reply was tongue in cheek! I didn't mean any offence, but they seem great baits to me. I've used them mainly as swim baits, funnily enough, and they catch better than a lot of other baits for me. Mine seem to hang reasonably horizontally too, maybe you had a bad batch?
