I used an underwater camera and seen the bottom loaded with walleyes
fishing in the Niagara river fairley fast current

tried a 3 way rig with a 2 oz sinker and different color worm harnesses with no luck at all

does anyone have any suggestions on what else to try

seems like these walleye may start feeding at any time and stop just as quick as they start

If it is clear enough to see them with the camera I am supprised the stayed in place. Try real early in the morning or late in the evening when it is overcast or near dark and see what happens.

Maybe if you weren't freaking the fish out with that silly ##### camera they might consider feeding.

Sure, that's what it was, stage fright.

Just guessing that your three way rig was dropped back and retrieved. The presentation was probably too slow, and likely in the wrong direction. You want to vertical jig it mvoing with the current or just a bit slower. That will give them the bait in the face coming at them, at a few snags for you.

I am fishing the Niagara Bar at the mouth of the river in Youngstown

with the 3 way I am drifting with the current, have tried worm harnesses, plain hook with a leech, and hook with a minnow and no bites

its like they feed for a very short time period each day and unless you are there at that time you get no bite

could it be that they are feeding primarily after dark ?

You should be handlining these fish. Since I've never done it, I would be long-lining them, moving upstream slowly and slipping side to side to keep my baits in their face wobbling. I prefer body baits but with enough weight you could run anything you want and keep it in the strike zone.
