Yesterday I was fishing in a tournament at Lake Thompson, fishing was fairly good my partner and I had a good time however something I saw kept me up last night. We were fishing near the silo pulling cranks and as we came up on a very nice proV the largest on the market it had all the bells and whistles 200 merc matched with a 9.9 kicker and all the electronics a fisherman could use we were in a 99 fisherman with a 115 merc but were still jealous. As my partner was commenting to me how that guy must really fish a lot to have invested in this rig I look over and this moron was pulling in about a four pound northern, after removing the hook he took the northern and slammed it against the transome of his boat two or three times and left it floating in the lake behind him as he mumbled somthing about those ##### hammerhandles and the two kids in his boat sat there laughing with this idiot what a way to teach your kids to fish!!!! Sorry for the long post but I was very upset.

Take a kid fishing

What did you do about it?
What was the relevance of the boat he drove?

The only thing worse than watching an activity like this is just standing by. Unless you are Ray Lewis, then you won't even miss an NFL game...

Money can buy stuff, not ethics! I understand your concern with the image he was proliferating to the young anglers, that is disturbing! The multi species angler can see that all fish in the system have worth, not just the intended catch of the day. Sorry case of money over mind if you ask me!

Practice what we preach and setting a worthy example is just as valuable as a limit of fish any day!

My 2 Cents worth..........Backwater.....

I think I would have taken his Numbers and gave the fish to the DNR. That usually takes the laughter out of all morons. And hopefully gave him a good ticket in front of those kids. CW

Sounds like "little big man" has an inferiority complex. He's got the big boat, big motor, best electronics, and he has to do something like this in front of a couple of kids to boost his ego - what a jerk. I imagine he comes home at night and kicks the dog to make himself feel better. People like that make me sick. Sorry for venting.

Best Regards,
