In 1995 i bought 19' spectrum. After i bought the boat Fisher bought them out. In 1998 i found out the weld was split because manufacter claims they welded it to hot so Fiser gave me a new boat in the spring of 99. the new boat is barly one year old and the hull is crack again in the same place. This boat has only been use 12 times last year an two times this year. Fisher only gave me a one year warrenty. Now my hull is crack an out of warrenty. what can i do?

Take it to a boat repair shop. They will likely want to get at the damage from the inside (ask during your first visit) and weld a backing plate behind the crack. Then they will fill in the crack. Ask if you can save some money if you remove the flooring and other interior stuff yourself (the answer should be you save about $50 per hour). It won't be cheap. That's why you slow down in rough water and buy bunk traileres.

I would talk directly to the manufacturer. It sounds to me like they have a design problem. Either in the way that they are welding the hull, or the basic edges of the hull that they are welding together. Two out of two - makes it more than a remote occurance.

A good boat manufacturer should stand behind their boat -- no matter what their warrenty says.

Take care

My hull cracked on me last Saturday. I have a spectrum, its in its 4th year of 5 year warranty, a great boat, but now I'm off the water until, who knows when, sure hope they work with me on this.

Good luck to ya

Phil, give customer Service a call at 417 777-2201 and give them a chance to correct your situation. Last time I checked they were turning warranty repairs arround within 10 buisiness days. The time required can be reduced from your original repair by you returning the boat directly to the plant in Bolivar Missourri, ratherr than depending on the transportation department to pick it up and return it. This is a very rare occurance and the fact that you have had two of them, will be a concern to the people at the plant. Give them a call and give Fisher a chance to identify and correct the problem before jumping to conclusions. They have a good reputation for customer satisfaction.
