I was wondering what is everybodys favorite fishing shows. My favorite is In-Fisherman, but enjoy any show dealing with Walleye, Trout, or Pike fishing, because that is what I mostly fish for. I like fishing for bass, but watching someone
drag a two pound fish over the gunwall with 30 lb test in five seconds is not entertaining. I also will usually watch any show where they are traveling to an exotic destination like Russia, South America, etc.

I have a local show I watch weekly. But In-Fisherman is my favorite all around show (even though they don't visit Utah very often [ever?]). I agree that most bass fishing shows are boring. But nothing beats the Orlando Wilson theme song!

Actually out of all the bass shows, his is the most interesting. He fishes for other species and doesn't seem to have a ego at all.

In-Fisherman is good, but Tony Dean is better. I probably lean toward Mr. Dean because many (most?) of his shows are taped in the Upper Midwest. I also have great respect for his willingness to act as a voice for sportsmen. His willingness to take on those who would degrade our wetlands helps us all. He also is a good teacher, and probably the most eloquent, yet most easily understood of the outdoor hosts.
I do have one problem though: no television station on my cable system (Lincoln, NE) carries his show. But we can watch a Tae Bo informercial every waking hour (and sleeping, too, for that matter) of every day!

Good viewin'!

My favorite has to be Joe Bucher, but I believe it is strictly a Wisconsin (or midwest) show. He does a segment on Walleye, Bass and Musky every week, and goes out of his way to teach a new technique on each one. It has a very similar format and purpose as In-Fisherman which I also really enjoy.

I try to get my weekly fix of fishing with Big Al on In Fisherman. I equally like Jerry McGinnes on The Fishin Hole, I believe he is featured on ESPN but can't catch up with the show to often.

I like many fishing shows but I would say that I like Bob Izumie's Real Fishing best. I like it because it has a bit of everything.

My vcr is programmed to catch everyone from McKinnis to In-Fisherman on Saturday morning, and Tony Dean Sunday evening. Don't spend much time on MSC, however. For exotic locations (at least to me) it's hard to beat "Fly Fishing the World" but I like Mark Sosin's rigging tips for fish that actually fight back.

In-Fisherman is number one. I seem to like all the shows except the ones that fish for Bass every episode, such as Hank Parker. The North American Fishing show isn't bad. The Blond gal, I think her name is Karen Savik is pretty hot for a fishing gal. She does the Pros pointers segment.

Joe Bucher Bob Jensens' fishn' show and Midwest Outdoors. Sometimes Roland Martin is good. Hank Parker puts me to sleep.

The Fishin' Hole and Hank Parker for the same reason. They are low pressure shows who have fun. The most important thing!

Although I'm a Walleye fishermen Primarily, every fishin show is interesting to me. I know people put down Bass fishermen on here, but I don't care. I like them all! Especially Bill Dance he's a Class Act. He doesn't need to fish out of a 50K rig to catch fish and have a good time. He doesn't just fish for Bass either. I also wish I had his checkbook.

Tony Dean, aka "The Chuckler", gets on my nerves real fast when he stops fishin and starts preachin. Stick to the fishin Tony! Don Lamont from Canada is my favorite.

I am surprized nobody has mentioned Babe Winkelman so far? When I started this post, I expected to see his name quite a bit. I just got digital cable and now can recieve Joe Bucher, that is an excellent show.

For information, I think In-Fish is the best. For entertainment I like Fishing with Shelly and Courtney. For the best filmwork, Walker's Cay Chronicle is by far the best.

As far as Tony Dean, I used to really enjoy his show, but it has become so repetitive and preachy.

i grew up watching virgil ward and jerry mcginnis
showing very grainey 8mm film and i loved it!!!

the first in-fisherman and al and ron lindner
shows were a whole different deal back then (still
far ahead of anything else that is out there).

i like the shows done in minnesota, especially
from lakes i am familiar with.

i have always liked jimmy huston and roland martin
even though i dont like bass fishin shows.

i would like to see a couple of fun lovin knuckleheads do a good walleye fishin show. most
everything on is so very serious!!!!!

the more we get the more we want.....i am looking
forward to the next generation tv fishin show..

For some reason I don't see his show as that good of a show, it is too concentrated with advertizing. I know a lot of the guys are sponsored, but this guy actually tries to convince you that the stuff that he uses is the best, when it's not.

In-Fisherman is excellent and informative. Bucher is informative but I find him really boring.
Although I like the information, I prefer a show that features something that I don't do myself every other day. I want to see something new and varied species of big, exotic fish, on pristine waters. Therefore, Walkers Cay is by far my favorite show. The fishing, narrating, filiming, and everything about the show is simply amazing.
Flip really knows what is important in fishing, and it's not always coming home with a full livewell.

I really enjoy Tony Dean because his shows are mostly done in the Dakotas where Ilive and he isnt afraid of taking on others that threaten our outdoor heritage.I also enjoy In-fisherman for the latest and greatest techniques they come up with.Bill Dance has to be the worst. You allways see him fishing largemouth bass in what apears to be private ponds, yawn.

Many of my favorites are the ones I can't get anymore. IMHO, I do like In-Fisherman, the style
of the Fishin' Hole (keepin' fishing simple), Walkers Cay agreeably has great story lines and
filming. FF the World gets a little to milktoast
yuppie for me, thank you.

John Gillespies Water and Woods is great for yuks.

Due to changing cable coverage, I do miss Bob Izumi's show and Tony Dean's.

The one show I really miss was Larry Schoenborn's
Fishing the West. Great lead-in's, classy original accompanying score and great locations.
Larry was also a genuinely good guy.

I guess it can be catagorized into how you want to
rate your shows. Informative and educational, such as In-Fish, or shows that entertain and make one dream of fishing exotic locations, such as
Fishing the West.

Which leads up to some of my old favorites. These shows were responsible for many of my dreams when I was a boy. Shows such as Gadabout Gaddis, Jim
Thomas Outdoors, and American Sportsman. God, these were great.

Favorite show? Thank God there are too many to choose from.

Too bad Red Green doesn't do Handyman's Corner segments on boats and fishing equipment.

Well I would have to say that my favorite fishing show was ( GO FISH ) with Fish Fishburn. He had one of the best entertaining shows that ive seen. But for all around learning. I would also like to say In-Fisherman. I dont know if any of you have seen it, but the dumbest one that ive seen would have to be ( Fishing With John Show ). I wish that they would bring back the Go Fish Show, My boy laughed threw the hole show. Yes it also had some stupid stuff too, but it was very intertaining. Sounds like were all ready to head back towards the lakes.
