I just picked up a magellan meridian GPS. When I use the map function, the points/streets/highways that are stored in the units memory are about 2km (1.25miles) off their actual coordinates. Is there a way to calibrate the unit so that the preset towns/cities/roads are where they should be?
I do not have the mapsend cd. The problem is with the basic prestored maps supplied with the unit. There is nothing in the users manual for this.
Help!

An honest opinion...You should have bought the garmin GPS76MAp or 76 Map S great little units with a ton of gagets to go along with it. Tons of CD's easy to get really anywhere...I dont wana advertise for the company, but they make some great stuff

MY opinion and experience is that the GPS you have is great and I have one with the software also ,but I now own a PDA which I can scan MY own maps. Thats why now my unit is up for sale. Now I have to buy a navman unit to put with my PDA . The problem with all the GPS I have found is you are resticted to there software. The answer to your question is that if you had the software ,I believe you would be alright.

DHD, I recently purchased a PDA, Could you e-mail me at dsamuelson@conpoint.com so that I could discuss with you details of hooking a Navman Unit with your PDA.
