I happened across an article about the Rogue fishing rod company.
It is a start up company, that is up to about 1,000 rods a month.
Apparently there have been quite a few defections from G Loomis, since G Loomis was sold to Shimano in 1997.

I checked out their web page, and they offer a complete range of fishing rods, for everything from ultra light, walleye, bass, steelhead as well as salt water rods.

I have never seen one anywhere, but the talk on some of the articles that I have read, indicate that the qualites are similar to the G Loomis and St. Croix at 30 - 50% less price.

I am wondering if any one has one, fished with one, or even seen one.

They are located in Oregon, near the Rogue River - hence the name of the company.

Take care

REW - I don't know if you're a regular over at rodbuilding.org or not but I've heard them mentioned there favorably many times.

Better to have and not need than to need and not have!

Larry Hanson and I are the reps for Rogue Rods in Mn,ND,SD and have been using and promoting the rods for several months now. We feel strongly that they compare favorably with top manufactures like St Croix and Loomis at a very competative price. We will gladly share more info with you if you contact us by email. lhanson166@aol.com or bill@advancesales.net
You can also visit Rogue's web site at roguerods.com and get more information.
