This offer advertized in Walleye In-Sider, again, for a DeadBolt 30 reel matched up with a 6'2" PWT IM6 graphite rod for $80,is it a good deal? How many bearings in the reel? Is the rod sensitive enough to detect lite bites when using mono and does it have a soft tip for braided line use? I'd be interested to hear from any of you that use this combo or any other DeadBolt rod & reel combos.

I use their Deadbolt reels and I really like them. They have smooth drags, nice feel, good hook sets, and the line remains tangle free. I would however not recommend spiderwire as I have had some problems with it on these reels. Fireline and mono work great.
If you plan on using the reel for ice fishing forget all about that so called deal. The anti-reverse quits working in the cold. I, personally, will not even consider a Pinnacle when reel shopping.
