Have a 619 ranger fisherman. Only couple months old. I'm finding it somewhat hard to backtroll with this rig. I have a 9.9 merc 4-stroke for a kicker. The kicker is mounted on the right side of the transom. It is very difficult to reach and still be able to sit in a seat. I tried an extension handle, but it hits the big motor when it is trimmed up all the way. What I ended up doing is sitting on the livewell and runnig it from there. This is a very ackward and not very confortable. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Try contacting George Liddle...Ranger Rep.
He should be able to let you know who to talk
to or what to do...

It is very difficult to effectively backtroll
the big glass, console walleye rigs, especially in inclement weather. Try working on your presentation from the bow and see how it goes. You might surprise yourself in how effective it can be.

I own a 619 also. My 9.9 is on the drivers side and I have a handle extension that works great. Does your extension hit the big motor when it is trimmed all the way up? Mine has plenty of room.

Tillers go on the driver's side. Remote kickers go on the passenger. The tiller handle is the reason why.
