Curious if anybody has actually used the twist type telescoping paddles offered by DotLine and others. I like the idea, but will certainly buy a conventional one, despite the additional length, if the extending ones are junk!
Regards
I have a pair of them on board for emergency. Although they're obviously not as sturdy as wood one, I like the ability to collapse them and store them in the bottom of my rod lockers.
You can't really "lean into" them like a wood one, but I've used them on occasion to paddle out when I've drifted into shallow muck or rock where I couldn't run a motor.
