Relax....you will be only a few minutes from the worlds greatest fishing hole. I am speaking of the Niagara Whirlpool. Right now it is teeming with salmon and every type of trout imaginable. Just drive down the scenic parkway ( downstream) and after a few miles you will come to 'Whirlpool Rd.' Just past that, on the right, is a big parking lot. On the far right of the lot is stairs (kinda) going down. It's an experience you'll never forget. What ya gonna do with the wife?

LOL yep took today off work to get ready to take Robert duck hunting tommorrow. Youth waterfowl is Saturday and Sunday and I've got decoys to string up, etc. The walleyes have really come to life at Silver lately.

Funny you should mention Long Pond....I just took a drive out there Tuesday. Didn't see anyone fishing but thought that it wouldn't be very long and the perch would pick up in there.

If you need anyone to help load/unload the boat, share expenses and show you how to catch them Silver Lake 'eyes, just let me know. I've never open water fished the lake and would be willing to give it a shot. If week days are better than weekends, no problem, I've got about 8 weeks vacation left for this year.

If I had seen this post earlier before you left I would have suggested I could have taken you on my boat for a day of excellent smallmouth fishing

the salmon and steelhead are still alittle slow but the smallmouth are putting on their fall feed and the action is fantastic right now
