Well it's getting closer, and the response from everyone in the fishing industry has been fantastic. The donations for the charity raffle's just keep coming in. Some of the top prizes include motors from Mercury, Evenrude and Yamaha, GPS units from Garmin, Minn-kota trolling motors, Glyde Ryde, Reef Runner, Shakespeare, Pradco, Ranger, Lund, Crestliner.
Cabelas and Galyans have again stepped up big time to make this a huge success. Pat Kleppert from Ranger boats will have a new 621 in the water for you all to test drive, also Don Cary and Roger Funk from Lund boats will be on hand with new Lunds to look at.
I hope to have the complete list of raffle prizes listed by this weekend so keep checking for updates and remember "BRING YOUR CHECKBOOKS" and make this the best charity raffle ever. They need our help. Remember fishermen helping fisherman.

Rick, thanks for the update. There are definitely some great prizes. I know this has been asked before but I did not see an answer. If someone cannot make the "get-together", can raffle tickets be purchased on-line? I know the logistics of shipping me my new motor would be difficult, but I'm sure we could work it out :-) Thanks.

Sorry Eyedoktr,
We will not be selling tickets online. It's one of those, "You have to be present to win" conditions.

For your information I will be bringing for the raffle or door prizes (your choice): a Beckman walleye net, a G Loomis WJR741S 6'-2" walleye rod, a pair of Tite Lok triplex holders with mounting plates, a couple sets of smart tabs.
Thanks to you guys for all the time spent organizing, it's appreciated.

Fred, thanks for the offer. I'm very seriously considering the trip. I still have more than 8 weeks vacation left for this year so that won't be a problem. I've wanted to make the outing for a few years now and this could be the one. I'll know more by the end of the day. Thanks again.
I have an instinctive reflex to grab my wallet, whenever anyone calls me Mr. Stedke. know what I mean???
BTT.
bigguns are there. waitin. good luck and good fishin.

The charities will be for the Mike James Memorial Scholarship Fund, and for the Norb Wallock Family. The proceeds will be divided.
Mike James was a "mover and shaker" for Ranger Boats. He was responsible for the Fisherman 600 series, and acted as the Midwest Regional Director for Ranger Boats. He passed away last year at a young age of only 47. He is missed by all of us who knew him. Before he died, he had a Football scholarship, for young athletes, set up in his home town of Matoon, Illinois. We would like to donate to that charity in Mike's honor.
Norb Wallock, as you might already know, was one of Walleye tourament fishings greats. He was a friend to all who knew him, and we would just like to show his family that he is remembered, and would like to help ease the pain by helping them a little.

Well, you can count me in. I guess if you have to be there to win the raffle, I have to be there. I've waited a few years to make one of these Huron outings. Even if the weather and/or fish don't cooperate, I figure it's gonna be a gooood time.
Pete, you wont regret being there, it is a blast.the fish are really starting to go now, so if erie and mother nature helps, we should see some real big fish too. good luck and good fishin.

Den, the only thing I've regretted is not making the previous outings. Gilligan, his partner and I will be stopping in to see you thursday morning that week. We'll need to get licenses and I'm sure one or two (twenty or thirty??) of the hottest lures.
