A couple of weeks ago, I accidentally broke a Loomis rod while fishing. I placed a post on this board asking if anyone had a similar experience and how Loomis handled it. A couple of you responded by describing the company's $50 no question policy.

I sent the broken rod back to them, along with a $50 check and a note explaining what happened.

Yesterday, I received a brand-new replacement rod (same model), and they returned my check, too. They covered it 100%.

Now that's a good company!

What was the turnaround time? How long were you without your rod?

The turnaround time was fantastic... I think they shipped the replacement the same day (or at the most, one day later) they received the broken one.

Nice to hear a story with a happy ending. We seem to hear many more horror story's. It's always easier to complain when something doesn't go your way. Glad you could pass along a positive result and counter the notion that all companies just want our dollars and then forget about standing behind what they've sold. You paid for a quality rod and it's good to see you got a quality company too.
