View Full Version : Uh oh, Plantation motel canceling reservations
Just got a phone call, we lost our cottage for Thurs-Fri nite. The guy said he has 5-6 other people to call with this bad news. Supposedly because of the cold weather and everyone running the electric heaters the breakers are blowing and can't keep up with the heat demands.
Not sure what we are going to do now for lodging, I made these reservations like 6 weeks ago.

Take the shortcut from Huron to 250 at the turnpike, about 8 miles south good 2 lane road 5 or 6 chain motels up there, also west of Sandusky on Business district 6, that is the exit just over the east side of the Sandusky River bridge on Route 2, Small motels on that road that are away from the business district.

Stay at Holiday Village motel in Catawba.
About a thirty minute drive but it is the cleanest and nicest place on the lake. Prices are dirt cheap and you will not regret it.

I'll be staying at the Budget Inn on Rt. 250 and Rt. 2 Real easy to get to and from the ramps about 5 minutes the number is 419-625-7252 or the Comfort Inn 419-621-0200.
To all of you who either posted here, or sent me an email, THANKS. We did find a room at the Microtel. Looking forward to seeing everyone this weekend. -Jeff
