We will be going from Ohio to Ontario in August. Does anyone know the location and hours of the bank/currency exchange center in Sault Ste Marie, Ontario? It's a real hassle to find Canadian currency at the banks around here.

It is possible to buy traveler's checks in any currency in the world. What I've done on our few trips across the border is exchange my money at a Royal Bank of Canada(blue sign)because they give the best exchange rates. The worst place I've found for exchanging currency is US banks. You'd do better at a big department store in Canada.

Buckeye,
I've never been to Saulte St Marie, but have crossed into Canada at Port Huron, Windsor, and Niagara Falls. We have always done our currency exchange at the DUTY FREE STORE that is at the border. I believe you get the "real" exchange rate. Also a good opportunity to pick up a couple cases of Labatt's Blue, and some Crown Royal at the best price.
Have Fun!
