View Full Version : W.R.W.A. Championship at Mosquito Lake
Congradulations to Frank Mcfeathers and Chip Yockey for winning the WRWA championship this weekend at Mosquito Lake. They weighed in a 2 day 20lb.total and caught the tourneys big fish,4.8lb walleye. There winning presentation was trolling small minnow baits on the bottom in 16-20 ft of water.Other presentations also caught fish with alot of walleyes coming out of the weeds.I would personally like to thank Jim Breedlove and his tournament staff for doing another outstanding job putting together these tournaments in NE ohio. Its been great meeting new fisherman and looking forward to many more great years with this club.Tight Lines,
Keith Walters(Kdog)
Keith, Thanks for the congrat's!! I definitely would like to thank Jim Breedlove & staff also. They are doing a great job in running the club and, bringing in new members. I was impressed with the number of boats we had this year. Hopefully, it will get bigger & bigger.
I saw you guys were doing the same pattern as we were. Did you lose a lot of fish? We lost fish after fish after fish.... Don't know what were doing wrong.
Lets keep in touch, by the way....there is no feather in my cap, my name is McFeaters. Get'em in the net! See-ya, Walleymaster
Walleyemaster,(Frank)congrats on the tournament win again!I had no idea you were on the net, great site isnt it!
Terry and i were pulling 3 lead lines and a flat line for suspended fish. Most of our fish came suspended sat.and most of our fish came tight on the bottom sun.The area we fished sat shut down pretty quik after we got 5 keepers but we couldnt get any size out of them.Sun we didnt have a problem losing fish, our problem was getting them to bite. Our 5th keeper came at 2:00!We had a real problem with short hits on spinners sat.afternoon.
How bout the fish Dennis S. jr.brought in,10 lbs in like the last hour fishing.Id like to know what he figured out!LOL.
I was at the tackle store today and guess what i found, some little ac's that would look real familiar to you.But ##### they hurt my pocketbook!
Anyway once again good job and ill see you at the Trade Winds events.Tight Lines,
Kdog
Kdog, Just got my computer, not real comfy poking at the keyboard with one finger.Denny jr told me they mistakenly dragged a lure on bottum, and caught a nice keeper with an hour and 15 min to go.they started dragging all their baits on bottum and ended up with a nice limit. Same pattern we did all weekend. What color ACs did you find? We were killing them on perch with orange belly This is an awesome site and we will see you at Tradewinds next Sat.tourney. Get em in the net walleymaster

Walleyemaster, my best friend Chuck Miles and his son Jacob fish the WRWA tournaments together. I do not fish these tournaments because I don't want to interfer with their fishing together. However Chuck and I do fish some tournies toghether. I am interested in getting set up with a decent lead core rig and Chuck says your the man to talk too. Any information you could help me with, reguarding rods, reels, lures, and witch leadcore to use would be greatly appreciated. If you could help me out please e-mail me at ftb21558@aol.com.
thanks in advance
