View Full Version : 36 point buck in Kentucky?
I was wondering if anyone else heard about this? Caught it on the radio this morning as I was heading into work. They were interviewing the guy that shot it who said at the time that no he didn't realize that he was shooting that big a buck, just knew it was a big buck. I can't even imagine a rack like that. That's gotta be a heavy head :-)

Here's an even bigger one from Iowa (a bowkill). Iowa keeps cranking out the monsters. The buck from Kentucky is possibly the new state roecord, but it wouldn't even be in the top ten in Iowa. Iowa is definitely the land of studs, football and whitetails.

To be honest, Rich, that interview on the radio had me wondering if they weren't putting me on. The guy that shot the deer, well, they don't get any more backwoodish than that. When they finished the interview and the guy hung up, one radio announcer said to the other, "I think his cousin probably called him and told him to, Get off my sister and go shoot that thar buck in the backyard." ;-)
that be a couple of real dandys. kinda makes you wonder where they have been hiding all there life, but one mistake and POOF. it would be a real pleasure to even see a buck like either of them while hunting.
